28 Jun A Collaboration with Silver Ivy Floral Design.

I was very lucky to land in a mother’s group filled with a diverse group of supportive, warm and non-judgemental mothers. It has been such a pleasure to watch our children grow and quite literally blossom into gorgeous human beings. Valerie and I talked often of a collaboration together, her floral skills with my photography, her family farm in Kyneton, and our girls. We finally followed through.

The day dawned spectacularly and we enjoyed the drive out to Kyneton and a bit of a shop, coffee and delicious food before we headed to the farm to catch the afternoon light. Valerie had spent almost the entire night before creating these stunning floral crowns and her attention to detail in setting up a little afternoon high tea for the girls was second to none. Our girls ran through pine forests with blooming toadstools, through long grasses and a little sheep dung, and clambered over fallen gum trees as the dusk descended. We had such a wonderful day that finished with a fire and wine and cheese. I can’t wait to do another one.
